The Isle of Wight is often described as the ‘Garden Isle’ or ‘England in Miniature’, for no other part of Britain contains such a variety of scenery in a small area. The peaceful beauty, delightful villages, coastal walks, sandy beaches and mild climate make the island a holiday paradise. Ventnor has the most dramatic landscape on the island, with winding Victorian streets cascading down to a modest harbour. The historic and highly-reputed Royal Hotel will be our base for four nights half board accommodation. It is a few moments walk into the town centre, and a short bus ride from the Botanical Gardens. Its restaurant has achieved two AA Rosettes for excellent food for 25 consecutive years. Rooms are en-suite, decorated with flair and fine fabrics and feature televisions and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a lift to all floors.
Excursions: Shankling Old Village & Ryde or Osborne House (admission extra); Godshill and Yarmouth via the scenic Military Road
